FAQ & Policies
Everything you need to know about ordering, fitment, shipping, and returns — answered straight. Can't find what you're looking for? Just reach out.
We guarantee that the bolt pattern we ship matches your vehicle's spec when you provide your year, make, and model. If offset, diameter, or width fall outside your stock range, we strongly recommend contacting us before ordering so we can talk through what will and won't work for your specific setup.
The Shop By Vehicle tool on our site filters wheels by bolt pattern and recommends tire sizes based on your vehicle's OEM specs — use it. And always perform a test fit before mounting tires or driving on new wheels.
Bolt pattern compatibility is on us when you provide your vehicle info. But if you're going larger than stock — wider, taller, lower offset — it's your responsibility to verify the size works for your specific build. Modifications, suspension lifts, fender work, and custom setups all change what fits.
Not sure? Ask us first. We'd rather help you get the right set than process a return.
Always test fit before mounting tires or driving on the wheels.
- Test Fitting your new wheels is crutial to ensuring a completed return in the event of an error.
- Once you recieve your wheels, open them and inspect for any visible damage If there is none, remove one of the wheels from your car and replace it with your new wheel, prior to mounting a tire on it..
- Hand-tighten the lug nuts to seat the wheel — do not use an impact gun.
- Visually confirm no contact with the brake caliper, inner valve stem, or any wheel weights.
- Slowly spin the wheel by hand and look for clearance issues all the way around.
- Place cardboard under the front tires, lower the vehicle, and check fender and suspension clearance. Turn the steering wheel fully left and fully right while inspecting.
- If everything clears, torque the lugs to your vehicle's spec using hand tools.
Offset (ET) is the distance in millimeters from the wheel's centerline to its mounting face. A lower offset pushes the wheel outward; a higher offset tucks it in. Running an offset significantly outside your vehicle's stock range can cause rubbing against fenders or suspension components.
Our Shop By Vehicle tool flags wheels that fall outside a safe ET tolerance for your vehicle so you're not buying something that won't clear.
A dual-drilled wheel is machined with two bolt patterns — for example, 5×114.3 and 5×120 — so one wheel fits a wider range of vehicles. They're equally as strong as single-drilled wheels and pass the same durability standards. Our fitment system indexes dual-drilled wheels under both patterns so they'll show up correctly whichever bolt pattern you search.
Aftermarket wheels are often made with a larger center bore to accommodate many vehicles. If your wheel's center bore is bigger than your hub, a hub ring fills that gap and centers the wheel while you torque the lugs. Without them, minor vibrations can sometimes occur even when wheels are properly balanced. Not sure if you need them? Reach out before ordering.
Check your vehicle's owner's manual or ask your dealer for the correct torque spec — it varies by vehicle. Torque in a star pattern using hand tools. Do not use an impact gun — power tools can damage lug threads and studs and don't apply even pressure.
Estimated delivery windows for in-stock items:
- Wheels only: 4–7 business days
- Tires only: 3–7 business days
- Wheels & Tires Unmounted: 4–7 business days
- Wheel & Tire Package (mounted): 14–21 business days
These are estimates. Backordered items or special processing may take longer. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
Smaller shipments like wheels-only typically arrive via parcel carrier without a required signature. Freight shipments — like mounted wheel and tire packages — will usually require a signature. We'll notify you of the delivery requirements before your order ships.
Before signing any delivery documents, inspect every item. If anything is damaged, write a full description on the carrier's paperwork before you sign. Then contact us immediately with photos and your order number.
Damage that is not noted with the carrier before signing transfers liability away from the carrier, which complicates the claim significantly. Don't skip this step.
Depending on the items in your order, we may ship from multiple locations to get things to you faster. Your tracking info will reflect each shipment. If something looks off, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Wheels, tires, and packages cannot be shipped to PO Boxes — they require a physical address. If you provide a PO Box for one of these orders, we'll reach out to get an updated address before shipping.
Garage Garage is not responsible for packages lost, delayed, or damaged by the carrier after they have left our warehouse. We cannot be held liable for packages showing confirmed delivery to the address on your order. If you believe your package was lost or stolen after delivery confirmation, contact the carrier directly to file a claim.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Financing options are also available at checkout — see below.
Yes. Wheels are a significant purchase and financing makes sense for a lot of people. We offer buy-now-pay-later options through Affirm, which provides fixed monthly payments with rates subject to credit approval. Select your financing option at checkout — decisions are typically instant.
Applicable state and local sales tax will be added to your order at checkout based on your shipping address. The amount shown at checkout is an estimate and may be adjusted at time of shipping based on tax laws in effect for your location.
Contact us as soon as possible. We process and ship orders quickly, which means your order may already be in motion. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of purchase have the best chance of being processed without fees. Orders that have already been pulled, packed, or shipped may be subject to a restocking fee.
Return requests must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. All items must be in new, unused condition — no signs of mounting, driving, or installation. Once a return is approved, items must be shipped back within 10 days.
Wheels: Must be returned before tires are mounted. Once a tire is mounted, that wheel cannot be returned.
Tires: Must show zero mileage. Any driven-on tire is not eligible for return.
Returns may be subject to restocking fees depending on the product and its vendor. If an error on our end caused the issue — wrong item shipped, or our team confirmed fitment and it didn't fit — we'll make it right with no fees and cover return shipping.
Test fit before mounting — that's exactly what the test fit process is for. If you discover a fitment issue during the test fit, contact us and we'll work with you on a return or exchange while the wheels are still in returnable condition.
If you drive on them and then discover a fitment issue, we're very limited in what we can do — driven-on wheels and tires are non-returnable. This is why we stress the test fit every time.
Brand new. No tires mounted, no road use, no installation marks, center caps included. Items returned with signs of use, damage, or missing accessories may be subject to increased restocking fees or refused entirely.
Once a return is received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 2–3 business days of passing inspection.
If the manufacturer includes center caps with the wheel, they'll be in the box. If you're not sure about a specific model, reach out before ordering and we'll confirm.
When you add our mount and balance service to a wheel and tire package, we mount your tires to your wheels and balance the assembly before shipping. This does not include installation on your vehicle — we always recommend professional installation for the final step.
TPMS stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. If your vehicle came equipped with TPMS from the factory (most US vehicles 2008 and newer), you'll likely need aftermarket TPMS sensors for your new wheels — without them, your dashboard warning light will stay on.
TPMS sensors are available as an add-on. For mounted packages, we can install them before shipping. Note that some vehicles may require reprogramming at a shop or dealer after installation to sync with new sensors.
Lug nuts thread onto existing studs on your hub — standard on most domestic and Japanese vehicles. Lug bolts are a single piece that threads directly into the hub — common on European vehicles like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. Using the wrong type will damage your hub. Provide your year/make/model and we'll confirm which you need.
First, confirm the wheels were properly torqued in a star pattern with hand tools. If vibration persists, have the assembly re-balanced at a local shop and check for hub ring fitment. If vibration started immediately after installation and re-balancing doesn't resolve it, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue.
Note: Going significantly larger in tire size — especially with aggressive tread — will produce some additional road noise and feel change. This is normal and not a defect.
Minor marks or blemishes on the backside (non-visible face) of a wheel are considered acceptable by industry standards across all aftermarket manufacturers. They have no effect on performance or structural integrity and won't be visible once installed. Every wheel passes manufacturer quality control before shipping and carries a full manufacturer warranty.
A backorder means the manufacturer is temporarily out of stock but has more production coming. Typical backorder windows are 4–6 weeks, though this varies. We'll keep you updated on your order status. If you can't wait, contact us and we'll help you find an in-stock alternative.
All wheels and tires come with the manufacturer's warranty. Coverage details vary by brand and product. Have questions about a specific wheel or tire's warranty? Contact us before purchasing and we'll give you the details.
Within 30 days of delivery, we'll cover warranty-related costs on our end. After 30 days, costs associated with warranty claims are the customer's responsibility to coordinate directly with the manufacturer.
No. Manufacturer warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser from Garage Garage. Warranty claims require proof of original purchase.
